If you collect bookmarks, postcards or magnets -- basically random author swag -- feel free to email me your (USA) mailing address and I'll send you a surprise!  It might be book related, and it might be cat hair.  Ya never know.  (Sorry about the whole USA thing, but postage is pricey.)

I am holding a giveaway in honor of the fact I remembered I said I was going to do a contest! The lucky prize winner will receive:

1) an electronic copy of A SPELL FOR SUSANNAH

2) a handmade, reusable gift bag

3) something in the gift bag that is not alive and hopefully not offensive

To Enter:  Email me at with your name and mailing address and tell me what you're going to put in your custom made, reusable gift bag!  I make a passel  every holiday season.  Slowly but surely we're using less wrapping paper and paper bags, aka money down the drain.  It warms the cockles of my environmentally over-educated sister's snarky heart.  The gift bags I'm making for contest winners are much fancier than the sacks we use in my family.  And when my second book comes out in July, just you wait and see what handmade item I'll be offering!

Caveats:  One entry per household. The gift bag part of the giveaway is limited to US & Canadian residents due to the cost of shipping & handling. You can still enter if you live elsewhere, but you won't get the giftbag, just the ebook. In the event the initial winner lives outside the US/Canada, another name will be chosen for the gift bag and its mysterious contents. I reserve the right to change my mind and capriciously mail the giftbag overseas if the mood strikes (and if the price that the PO quotes me is right), but this is not a guarantee.

And yes, you must still send your mailing address, even if you live overseas or don't want the awesome giftbag.  I won't use your address for anything but this contest, not even future promotional mailings.  I don't have the time/energy to run a scam, dude.  I also accept no responsibility if you're allergic to cats and the bags make you wheeze or if the smell of the bags drives your own cats crazy.  You have been sufficiently warned by the above photo that there are cats all the heck over my house, including on or in the gift bags whenever they have gotten a chance.  (However, I will not send any of you the bag Big D kakked on.  It went to Grandma.)

Bonus:  If you're signed up for my newsletter and enter my contest, you'll get an extra name in the proverbial hat.  Double the chances to win, just for allowing me to send you a highly entertaining email once every two months.  Make sure you enter the contest under the same email address you use to sign up for the newsletter so I can confirm.  But you don't have to be a newsletter subscriber to win.  You just have to triumph over my random number generator.
