Random Trivia

The first full novel I wrote on purpose was for a high school gifted program project, and I never thought of a good name for the heroine.  So I just called her X.  The plot was part Gossip Girl, part Revenge of the Nerds.

Other Free Fiction can be found on my Samples page.  The samples that won't cause you deliberate pain are:

  • Free Pie Day -- On my group blog The Otherworld Diner, some of us wrote Diner-set stories from writing prompts and shared them with the world.  Mine takes place on, you guessed it, free pie day at the Diner. As a warning, this treads the border of "fanfic".
  • Out of Time, Chick Lit Time Travel, Round 1 -- won a Fan's Choice Award for Best Cross-Genre chapter. (Avon FanLit)

  • Touch Not the Cat, Regency Paranormal, Round 2 -- got a lot of comments about did I know that book title had already been used by Mary Stewart? Why yes, yes I did. (Avon FanLit)
