Why is this photo part of the site design?

I'm a writer and the primary tools of my trade are my brain and my computer.  I wish I typed so fast that my fingers were a blur to the naked eye!  I bet you do, too, because then I'd have more than a couple books to choose from when picking photographs for my site design.
