KAREN P. STERBA, a romantic with her head in the stars, writes science fiction romance and women's fiction. Her work has won a number of contests, and she is published in short fiction and nonfiction. She has a demanding day job as a hospital administrator in New York City, but at night, when she's not writing, she heads for dark sky areas to spend some quality time with her telescope (and her husband of more than thirty years). She's currently marketing what she thinks is the great American science fiction romance novel.
