MARY ANN CHULICK's first serious attempt at creative writing occurred in eighth grade, when her best friend and she tried to write a sequel to Gone With the Wind. They soon moved on to original historicals, fantasies, and science-fiction novels, and she realized she had found an all-consuming interest.

Her contemporary mystery, All Creatures Great and…Dead, will be published in May 2007 (Cerridwen Press). She hopes to publish more mysteries and science fiction novels in the future. Check out her website www.maryannchulick.com for more details about her paranormal romance novels.

Many years of working at a law publishing company, where she indexes the laws of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, gave her an interest in legal matters--an interest which has found its way into several of her novels. She enjoys fixing up her 1920s house, playing with her two black lab-type dogs, and drawing her characters. Although her husband died in 2005, he enjoyed her novels and always encouraged her writing.

Chulick's contribution to SUM3 is "A New Life".  This science fiction romance brings alive a future wrought with intrigue and class wars that threaten true love.  To find out why Chulick wrote "A New Life" (story behind the story), visit this page.  For an excerpt click here.
