History
Jody Wallace grew up in the South in a very rural area. She went to school a long time and ended up with a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing. During her time in graduate school, she served as the president of the Graduate Writer’s Association and gave several public readings. Her resume includes college English instructor, technical documents editor, market analyst, web designer, and general all around pain in the butt. She currently lives in Tennessee with her family: 1 husband, 2 kids, 5 cats. One of her many alter egos is “The Grammar Wench,” which should give you an indication of her character as well as why she currently offers freelance editing. In her spare time she enjoys tap dance, crochet, complaining, volunteering, thrifting, and some political activism. She is a terrible packrat and likes to amass vintage clothing, books, coffee cups, gnomes, yarn, and other items that threaten to force her family out of the house. She also likes cats. A lot.
Writing Style
Jody Wallace’s approach to writing is to tell as many outlandish lies as she can get her readers to swallow. Her dream is to be moderately well-paid for this service. In addition to writing and editing, she has been known to conduct writing workshops. Included topics are point of view, dialogue, punctuation, manuscript revision, training sessions for contest judges (she coordinated a local RWA chapter contest for many years), self-editing, and creativity enhancement. While she is quite capable of conducting Zoom workshops, she might also visit your writing group and do a workshop if you’re in driving distance of Nashville.

No comment on the fact these photos of Jody Wallace were taken some odd years ago and author has since gained many soft, plush assets, wrinkles, grey hairs, new glasses, and is in dire need of a haircut (as of 2024).
